Training & Acclimation

Most dogs need a few sessions to learn treadmill use. We make it low stress and positive:

  • Start off with the treadmill powered off
  • Use treats and calm voice to build confidence
  • Harness and side rails for safety
  • Begin at 0.5–1 mph for just 2–3 minutes
  • Increase time gradually until 15–20 minutes

The Intro Session includes full acclimation training and video for owners to see progress from day one.

Progression

  1. Intro Session
  2. Conditioning (motorized)
  3. Power Slat (advanced)

Safety First

Every session uses a secure harness and a front clip. Pace ramps gradually. No dog is left unattended. Brachycephalic breeds receive conservative pacing. Senior and rehab cases require vet clearance.

Session Flow

  1. Brief intake and gear fit
  2. Warm up at low speed
  3. Controlled work at target pace
  4. Cool down and sanitize
  5. Notes and next steps
